Overview
Competition/Antitrust
The combination of our deep understanding of the relevant legislation with experience in the interpretation of issues that our clients may face means that we develop the most effective strategies for negotiating with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Our team has significant experience in advising the owners of major international brands on both Australian domestic issues as well as international matters. Particularly we have acted on merger matters for Australian aspects of international transactions as well as representing clients in relation to allegations of anti-competitive conduct with effect in Australia.
Industry specific knowledge, such as industry structure and the major players, is also a significant advantage we bring to clients in the consumer sector, having acted for clients such as Coca-Cola Australia, Colgate-Palmolive, Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing Company.
