Competition, Trade Practices & Regulatory
Our team's practical, solution-based approach, based on a deep understanding of our clients' businesses, enables clients to achieve their business objectives within the applicable legislative and regulatory framework.
The Addisons' Competition, Trade Practices & Regulatory team offers clients the best possible advice on the implications of competition and fair trading laws. The Group's expertise is underpinned by in-depth knowledge of the legislation, an understanding of the issues facing business, and the most effective strategies for negotiating with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
We draw together a wide range and depth of expertise from a team of experienced lawyers, who have worked at some of Australia's major law firms and as senior in-house counsel for a multi-national industry leader. We have particular expertise advising on Australian competition laws as they impact on international matters. This includes obtaining merger clearance for the Australian aspects of international mergers and representing clients in relation to allegations of global anti-competitive conduct with effect in Australia.
We work closely with members of other practice groups within Addisons to ensure the delivery of whole-of-business solutions for our clients. Together, we assist our clients to maintain a competitive edge for their business.
