Graham is a competition and trade practices lawyer with over 17 years experience, including 10 years as Australian in-house counsel for a leading multinational manufacturing company.
Graham has had a wide-ranging career in both private practice and as a corporate counsel. He has been intimately involved in the provision of advice on day-to-day competition issues affecting a global business in Australia.
Graham has advised and represented clients on various aspects of the Trade Practices Act including:
- applications for informal merger clearances to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
- ACCC investigations and disputes
- applications to the ACCC for leniency and immunity in respect of cartel conduct
- litigation between competitors and with regulators involving allegations of anti-competitive conduct
- structuring of commercial agreements to ensure compliance with competition laws
- advising clients on consumer protection laws
- advising and representing clients in applications for approval of mergers
- advising and representing clients in applications for leniency including applications for leniency across jurisdictions
- advising and representing overseas clients in litigation involving allegations of breach of the anti-competitive conduct provisions of the Trade Practices Act (in particular cartel activity).
Graham's recent experience includes acting on multi-jurisdictional transactions and in matters involving allegations of anti-trust breaches across several jurisdictions.
Graham has practised as a commercial litigator in all Courts of New South Wales, and Western Australia and in the Federal Court of Australia. He is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association (Antitrust).
Graham joined Addisons as a Partner in May 2007.
