David is an expert in corporate and commercial law with a specialist knowledge of the food and consumer goods industries. His clients include Bega Cheese, Tatura Milk Industries and SunRice.
David's recent work includes:
- SunRice - acting on the conversion of Ricegrowers Co-operative Limited from a co-operative to a public company listed on the National Stock Exchange
- Bega Cheese - acting on its conversion from a co-operative to a public company
- Bega Cheese - completing the company's acquisition of a majority interest in Tatura Milk Industries Limited including the conduct of due diligence and the preparation of documentation
- Bega Cheese - acting for the company in relation to its contract manufacturing and trade mark licence arrangements with Fonterra
- Bega Cheese -acting on the company's acquisition of Kraft's cheese manufacturing facilities and its subsequent supply of cheese products to Kraft under contract manufacturing agreement
- Tatura Milk Industries - negotiation and preparation of agreements in relation to its contract manufacture of infant formula powder for Mead Johnson.
David works closely with the directors and executives of his clients in order to help them pro-actively manage legal issues associated with the operation and growth of their businesses.
David was admitted as a solicitor in 1983 and after 23 years as a partner in two other large Australian legal firms, joined Addisons as a partner in 2010.
