Kristy is a senior associate in the corporate, mergers and acquisitions team at Addisons. Kristy has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions and general corporate and commercial advice. Her M&A expertise ranges from private sales and divestments to schemes of arrangement and takeovers. Recent deals she has advised on include acquisition of the Bledisloe Group by InvoCare Limited, Bega Cheese Limited's initial public offering and listing on the ASX as well as its 15% investment in Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Company Limited and the Commonwealth Bank's $2.1 billion acquisition of BankWest (incorporating a 7-month secondment to the CBA legal team for post-completion issues).
In addition to her merger and acquisition experience, Kristy regularly advises on:
- Competition and Consumer Act and marketing issues;
- incorporated and unincorporated joint venture arrangements and restructures;
- constitutions for both public and private companies and the convening of general meetings;
- corporate governance for companies and corporate bodies; and
- general drafting, review and negotiation of commercial contracts.
Kristy first joined the Addisons team in 2005, coming from a leading international law firm. She has rejoined Addisons in 2010 after several years working with the mergers and acquisitions team at Freehills. Kristy was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in 2003 and is currently completing her Master of Laws at the University of Sydney.
