Andrew is a specialist intellectual property and information technology lawyer with extensive experience in media law. He has worked in the in-house legal teams for one of Australia's leading telecommunications companies as well as one of Australia's pre-eminent media organisations. Andrew has advised on the application of intellectual property and commercial issues to various media platforms including Internet, mobile telephone, pay television, free-to-air television, interactive digital television and print media. This has covered various industry sectors including sports, gambling and other areas of leisure and entertainment.
Most recently, Andrew has worked as the Commercial & Legal Director for one of Australia's leading independent production companies and has advised on all aspects of television production for some of Australia and the United Kingdom's most successful television programmes.
In addition, Andrew has advised on computer contracts and supply arrangements, as well as regulatory issues arising from the development of new technologies and their application in a commercial environment.
Andrew was admitted as a solicitor in 1999 and spent four years working in Sydney with an international law firm. He then moved into in-house roles at a television broadcaster, magazine publisher and independent television production company. Andrew joined Addisons in June 2009.
