Susan specialises in the area of trade mark law and practice as part of our Intellectual Property and eCommerce team. She manages the Australian and overseas trade mark portfolios for a number of well known Australian and overseas brand owners in a diverse range of industries. Susan’s practice includes advising clients on all aspects of the commercialisation of their trade marks, including strategic planning, trade mark availability, prosecution, opposition and enforcement. Her work also encompasses intellectual property audits, due diligence, assignments and licensing of rights. Susan has qualifications in law and communications. Susan is a Notary Public and an active Member of the New South Wales branch of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand and the International Trademarks Association (“INTA”) in the United States. Susan first joined Addisons in April 2005 as part of the intellectual property team from Coudert Brothers. In 2007 Susan joined Gilbert + Tobin’s intellectual property team and rejoined Addisons in September 2008.
