Hayden has been practising in commercial litigation for approximately 10 years, and has a breadth of experience in a wide range of commercial disputes and conducting large and complex litigation.
Hayden's experience includes conducting large-scale litigation in the Supreme, Federal and High Courts. He has acted in matters concerning international trade and contractual disputes, property disputes, Trade Practices (particularly involving the consumer protection and anti-competitive conduct provisions of the Trade Practices Act) and appellate proceedings. Hayden also has considerable experience in advising clients in the transport industry, particularly in the area of shipping litigation.
Hayden was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and became a Senior Associate in 2001. Prior to commencing at Addisons in November 2006, Hayden was a senior associate with a high profile national firm.
